Puglia is getting ready to celebrate Christmas 2025 with a widespread and spectacular calendar of events: artistic light installations, Christmas markets, themed villages and cultural activities that will delight residents and tourists from early December until the Epiphany. From coastal cities to charming inland towns, the entire region transforms into a journey of lights, flavors and music.
In Bari, from December 6th, 2025 to January 6th, 2026, Christmas Around the World brings an international Christmas village to life, turning Piazza Umberto I and Piazza Garibaldi into a kaleidoscope of lights and global traditions. The village includes Santa’s House, the Elf Post Office, immersive installations, creative workshops for families and craft markets. Throughout the Christmas season, Bari celebrates cultural diversity with events dedicated to the traditions of Albania, Nigeria, Palestine, Ukraine, Russia, Mauritius and many other countries. Special moments like the musical show on December 24th, the acrobatic “Natale in Volo” performance on December 30th, the Elf Parade on January 1st and the Befana Festival on January 6th make the experience even more unforgettable.
In Alberobello, from December 6th, 2025 to January 6th, 2026, the historic center transforms with We Are in Trulli – Winter Edition, a Christmas village featuring markets in Piazza del Popolo, an ice-skating rink and the Li.Fe Light Festival, a sustainable lighting event celebrating the 30th anniversary of the UNESCO recognition of the trulli. The artistic projections and light displays, created with reusable materials and low-consumption technology, offer an immersive experience that blends tradition, art, innovation and sustainability. At the same time, the 55th edition of the Living Nativity Scene returns to the Aia Piccola district, while Santa’s House welcomes children every afternoon in Largo Trevisani. Alberobello becomes a magical setting where lights, music and local flavors come together in a fairytale atmosphere.
In Monopoli, starting December 5th, 2025, the Illuminandia Christmas Park opens across a 15,000-square-meter area, transforming the historic center and seafront into a pathway of artistic Pugliese luminarie. Its main attraction is a 22-meter illuminated Christmas tree, surrounded by the Stars’ Swings Park, while the Snow Dome and the Luminous Nativity complete the immersive experience. The opening event includes shows, concerts and entertainment for children. Created by Faniuolo Illuminazioni, the project blends tradition, art and technology, offering a multisensory experience that will continue until February 2026—making Monopoli a unique cultural and tourist destination.
In Locorotondo, the Christmas lights switch on as early as November 18th, 2025, and remain until Epiphany, illuminating streets, balconies and artisan shops throughout the historic center. The town comes alive with Christmas markets, concerts, street performances, living nativity scenes and activities for children. To fully enjoy the magical atmosphere, it is best to visit Locorotondo on weekdays, avoiding the more crowded weekends.
In Conversano, from December 7th, 2025 to January 6th, 2026, the Borgo di Natale 2025 transforms the historic center into a widespread Christmas village. One of the main highlights is “Ghirlandia, the Christmas Castle,” an immersive pathway featuring Santa Claus, elves and interactive sets. At the Belvedere Amphitheatre, an ice-skating rink adds to the festive mood. The town also hosts food stalls with traditional Christmas specialties, creating a magical atmosphere filled with lights, music and activities for both adults and children.
Finally, in Noicattaro, from December 7th to 21st, 2025, Noelcattaro brings to life a large-scale Christmas village inspired by Rovaniemi. At the heart of the event is Santa’s House in the Palazzo della Cultura, accompanied by children’s entertainment, giant mascots, baby dance, rides, mini parades and circus-style shows. On December 20th and 21st, the Santa Claus Village comes alive with Nordic scenery, magic and juggling acts, and a gospel concert by the group Hope and Joy. All activities are free and open to everyone, creating a magical Christmas experience for families and visitors.
Christmas 2025 in Puglia confirms the region as an ideal holiday destination, offering a mix of artistic light displays, Christmas markets, themed villages and cultural events across both coastal cities and inland towns—perfect for making unforgettable memories for all ages.
